QuietBrace is a high-quality sound-deadening structural wall sheathing material that will perform as expected when used and applied according to Temple-Inland installation instructions. With that objective in mind, here is a short list of limitations that should be carefully avoided to maximize the product’s safety, durability and performance results for your next project.
- QuietBrace should not be used as a base for any mechanical fastening including nailing
- Avoid exposure to constant moisture before, during and after installation
- Should not be applied below grade
- Do not use for floor or roof structural applications
- QuietBrace may smolder or burn if ignited
- When QuietBrace is installed in cold climates during the winter, and propane-fueled space heaters are used to heat the interior, make sure the interior is vented by opening windows when the heaters are operating.
