5/8" GreenGlass roof board is manufactured to meet fire-resistant classification requirements per Underwriter Laboratory and Factory Mutual requirements.
UL 790 Classification - GreenGlass Primed has been classified as fire-resistance CLASS A by Underwriters’ Laboratory for use as a fire barrier over combustible and non-combustible decks in accordance with ANSI/UL 790 test standard.
Factory Mutual (FM) Class 1 - GreenGlass Primed has been tested in accordance with FM 4470 and is included in numerous roofing assemblies with a Factory Mutual (FM) Class I fire-rating. For more information regarding FM approvals and FM Class I assemblies using GreenGlass® Roofing Board Primed, please consult the FM website.
When tested in accordance with ASTM E136, GreenGlass roof board demonstrated the characteristics of a noncombustible material. Its flame spread and smoke developed values were both 0 in testing as per ASTM E84.
It may replace any 5/8” gypsum board, classified or not, in an assembly in the UL Fire Resistance Directory with the prefix “P”.
