Fire-Resistant Gypsum Board

Sometimes a wall or ceiling needs to do more than just look beautiful. That's why we manufacture fire-resistant gypsum board. By supplementing regular gypsum board's natural fire resistance with glass fibers and other additives, our fire-resistant products proudly carry the Underwriter Laboratories' stamp of approval (U.L. file #R6937) without sacrificing the smooth, consistent surface and workability our standard board has always offered.

In addition, our fire-resistant gypsum board product line consists of both Type-X panels and improved Type TG-C panels produced in a range of dimensions as well as a number of other product options to provide performance enhancements to suit a range of specialty applications.

Recycled Content:

Temple-Inland fire-resistant gypsum board manufactured in West Memphis, Arkansas, and Cumberland City, Tennessee, has been certified by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) in accordance to ISO 14021 standards to contain a minimum of 93% recycled material on a dry-weight basis. This consists of at least 90% pre-consumer recycled content and 3% post-consumer recycled content.
