Lite-Weight Gypsum Drywall

Lite-Weight Gypsum Drywall

Lite-Weight gypsum drywall provides all of the strength and sag resistance found in our regular drywall, but it is as much as 30% lighter than typical gypsum ceiling boards. The ½”-thick panels are available in both 48” and 54” widths and a variety of lengths from 8’ to 16’. Designed to cover walls and ceilings, they can be installed over wood or metal framing spaced up to 24 o.c. This versatility makes Lite-Weight gypsum drywall the only drywall you need for a range of remodels, new residential and light commercial projects. And with the reduced weight comes less physical fatigue, allowing installers to be more productive each day.

Storage:

Lite-Weight gypsum drywall should be carried, never dragged, to prevent damaging the finished edges and surfaces. Store gypsum boards lying flat and neatly stacked, off of the ground, and indoor or under roof to protect them from weather and direct sunlight. Care should be taken to prevent sagging or damage to edges, ends and surfaces. Leaning boards against framing is not recommended.
