Temple-Inland gypsum board products* manufactured from the following locations are certified in accordance to ISO 14021 standards as being a minimum of 95 percent recycled content (5 percent post-consumer content and 90 percent pre-consumer content).
- CUMBERLAND CITY, TENNESSEE (a)
- WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS (a)
- FLETCHER, OKLAHOMA (b)
- The core material used in these processes is synthetic gypsum, a waste product of an electrical generating facility located in Cumberland City, Tennessee.
- The core material used in this process is natural gypsum waste material from a Portland cement processing facility and is diverted from the waste-stream. This material is extracted from within 5 miles of our plant in Fletcher, OK. The extracted material cannot be reused in the Portland cement manufacturing process.
Temple-Inland gypsum board products* manufactured from the MCQUEENEY, TEXAS, facility are certified in accordance to ISO 14021 standards as being a minimum of 50 percent recycled content (5 percent post-consumer content and 45 percent pre-consumer content). The core material used in this process is a combination of natural gypsum and synthetic gypsum. The natural gypsum material is extracted from Fredericksburg, Texas, and the synthetic portion, a waste product of an electrical generating facility, is extracted from Rockdale, TX.
* Recycled content percentages for GreenGlass fiberglass-faced gypsum sheathing is 90 percent pre-consumer for plants at Cumberland City, TN; West Memphis, AR; and Fletcher, OK. Recycled content percentage for GreenGlass fiberglass-faced gypsum sheathing is 45 percent pre-consumer for McQueeney, TX, plant.
