Water-Resistant Gypsum Board

Covered with a water-repellent green face paper, Temple-Inland water-resistant gypsum board is an excellent wall and ceiling construction material for high humidity areas. It may also be used as a base for the application of ceramic tile or other types of adhesively applied wall panels in most circumstances.* Installed and finished like regular gypsum board when not covered by decorative wall panels, it provides a perfect blend of convenience, performance and durability.

*Limitations: Should not be used as a tile backer in tub and shower surrounds or in areas with a risk of continuous exposure to water such as swimming pool enclosures, steam rooms or gang shower rooms.

Temple-Inland water-resistant gypsum board has been fire-resistance classified by Underwriters Laboratories, and has been approved for use in multiple fire-resistant assemblies. Below is a list of those systems

We are developing a library of system assemblies incorporating Temple-Inland gypsum board for use in the BIM-based design program Revit. Currently this library includes the following assemblies: U301, U305, U354, U375, U411, U425, U428, U429, V433, U465, G505, G514, L502, L574. (Some with multiple variations).
